At last Friday’s meeting of the Board of Governors, the Board elected Anthony Gipe as the new WSBA president-elect. His term will begin in September 2013 and he will then be sworn in as WSBA president in October 2014. If you have input or questions for Anthony, you can email him at Anthony@olympiclaw.com.
Anthony Gipe’s Candidate Statement
I am running for president of the WSBA because the organization and the profession are at a crossroads. Our membership is changing, how we practice law is shifting, and the WSBA needs to be at the forefront of addressing those changes. Two key issues are in how our profession supports and retains its members, and encouraging continued diversification and inclusion in the profession at all experience levels.
The challenges faced by minority members and young attorneys continue to be my focus for the WSBA. However, I believe that the same solutions for these issues will also improve the profession for all its members, especially those in solo or small practice environments.
