election results are inWe are pleased to announce that WSBA members in Districts 2 and 9 have elected new representatives to the Board of Governors: Bradford E. Furlong, of Mount Vernon, will represent the 2nd District, and James Andrus, of Newcastle, will represent the 9th.

The 10th District election did not result in one candidate receiving over 50% of the vote, so there will be a run-off election held April 25–May 9 between Phil Brady and Allen Miller.

2014 Board of Governors Elections: Districts 3, 6, 7-North, and 8

Have you ever considered running for a seat on the Board? There are 10 district-based positions (which are elected by active WSBA members) and 3 at-large positions (which are selected by the Board of Governors). Governors serve 3-year terms, which means that each year we need to fill 1/3 of the district positions and one at-large position. Next winter, we will invite members from Districts 3, 6, 7-North and 8 to throw their hats in the ring for the district positions.

About the Board of Governors
